Three of the five persons who died last Friday when the vehicle they were traveling in caught fire following a collision on the Ranya to Bisha road were not members of the Sudanese family to which the other two belonged as originally thought, but were illegal entrants to the Kingdom of unknown identity, police have said. The crash with an oncoming truck Friday morning led to all five, two males and three females, being burned alive despite efforts by Red Crescent workers and emergency services to cut the victims free from the wreckage. The driver of the car and his son, police say, were illegally helping to transport the women from Khamis Mushayt to Jeddah.
