The Standing Committee of Religious Research and Iftaa (SCRRI) has approved donations for the “One Million Roses and a Rose” campaign for breast cancer patients. The campaign aims to raise funds to provide three mobile units which will make breast X-ray mammograms available for the public. These mobile units will be linked to satellite networks and will send X-ray pictures and patients' information to the main center in Riyadh. Abdul Aziz Aal Al-Sheikh, the Kingdom's Grand Mufti, said in a letter addressed to Princess Haifa Bint Faisal, Chairwoman of the Zahra Society for Breast Cancer Patients, that “SCRRI has studied the campaign aspects and believes the charity to be a worthy issue, but in the end it is left to the public to decide if they want to donate to this cause”. The project, according to a statement from Princess Haifa, has entered the second phase of the campaign which covers all of the regions of the Kingdom. She said that the campaign is targeting women above the age of 40. Princess Haifa explained that donations can be sent to the society's account numbers: Al-Bilad Bank (999300001100012) or Riyadh Bank (31330448869941)
