Briton Darren Clarke, aiming to become the first player to retain the Dutch Open title for 31 years, claimed a share of the second-round lead at the Kennemer links Friday. Clarke carded a three-under-par 67 for an eight-under tally of 132, level with Swede Peter Hedblom (66). The pair were one ahead of Australian Wade Ormsby (67), recent Czech Open winner Oskar Henningsson of Sweden (66), Ireland's Peter Lawrie (68) and British duo Kenneth Ferrie (67) and Bradley Dredge (67). Lawrie would have taken the outright lead but for a double-bogey at the par-four ninth, his final hole. Bob Byman made it back-to-back wins in the Dutch Open in 1978. When told he had a chance to match the American's feat, Clarke told reporters: “That would be rather nice but there's a long way to go”. A checkered front nine by the Northern Irishman, where he canceled out three birdies with three bogeys, was followed by a confident three-birdie inward half. First round co-leader Paul McGinley (70) of Ireland bogeyed the last to finish on 134. Twice US Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal, playing alongside Clarke, missed the cut on two-over 142. Haas moves into lead In North Carolina, Bill Haas has moved into the lead after one round at the rainy Wyndham Championship. Haas had five birdies while finishing his career-best 62 early Friday to take a two-stroke lead over Brandt Snedeker, Chez Reavie and Ryan Moore at the PGA Tour's final event before the playoffs. On Thursday, Haas was at 4 under through 10 holes when play was halted because of darkness with roughly half the field still on the course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. That came after play was delayed for roughly four hours in the mid-afternoon because of lightning and heavy rain. That led PGA Tour official Mark Russell to predict that Friday's play would become “an all-day affair.” Woods enters FedExCup Tiger Woods is to play in next week's Barclays Classic, the PGA Tour said Friday. The tournament is the first of four lucrative FedExCup playoff events and the world number one will be making his first appearance since finishing second at last week's US PGA Championship. Two years ago Woods skipped the Barclays event, saying he was tired after winning back-to-back titles at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship in sapping heat.
