MCA and JCA Blue teams share honors

Madina Cricket Association (MCA) and Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA Blue) shared honors in the Independence Cup Inter-City cricket event which was organized by Jeddah Cricket Association here last week.
Madina Cricket Association (MCA) beat Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA Green) by a huge margin of 136 runs as Mohammad Rashid of MCA hit a brilliant knock of 129 runs off 58 balls and Ali ran through JCA Green batting with 4 wickets for 23 runs. In the second match JCA Blue won against Yanbu Cricket League (YCL).
Electing to bat first, MCA piled up 246-5 in the allotted 20 overs against JCA Blue. After MCA lost opener Mohammad Shahid for one run, the other opener Mohammad Rashid took the center stage and went on to hit 129 in just 58 deliveries with 7 sixes and 16 boundaries. Rashid put on 113 for the second wicket with skipper Abdul Raoof Boota, who made 40 in 22 balls. Later Wasim and Ali contributed 26 and 19 runs respectively. Attaur Rehman took three wickets and Rayeesuddin one.
In reply, the JCA Green was bundled out for 110 in 16 overs. Attaur Rehman was the highest scorer for JCA with 29 runs. Rayeesuddin made 18 and skipper Zain Al-Salikeen contributed 13 runs. Ali took 4-23 and skipper Abdul Raoof Boota claimed 2-26 for MCA.
in the second match, JCA Blue elected to bat first against YCL and scored 214-9. Though its star batsman Nadeem made just 5 runs his partner Sami Khan struck a quickfire 56 off 23 balls with 4 sixes and a half of dozen boundaries. Nadir Ashraf Toor (30), Ozair (25), Imran (17), skipper Irfan Qureshi (12) and Ashfaque (11) were the main scorers for JCA. Ibrahim Bin Mehfooz and Zahid Khan took 2 wickets each while Mohammad Hafeez Sattar, Mohammad Faheem and skipper Saeed Amoudigor one each.
In reply, YCL managed 137-5 in 16.1 overs when the match ended. Ibrahim Bin Mehfooz and Imran scored 33 runs each. Mohammad made 30 runs and Habeebuddin remained unbeaten on 15. Nadir Ashraf Toor took 2-13, left-arm spinner Faraz claimed 2-19 and fast bowler Javed Ahmed got 1-22.
