Ittihad beat its host Al-Fat'h of Al-Ahsa 2-1 while Al-Ahli achieved a difficult win over Al-Raed at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah in the Saudi Zain Professional League Tuesday. Al-Ahli attacker Ahmad Darwish scored the only goal in the last minutes. Al-Ittihad controlled the first half and had many attempts through the wings. Its players further pressed their opponent after Saleh Al-Saqri's first goal and almost scored twice through Nour and Bo Sharwan before Naif Hazzazi passed the ball to Nour who scored the second goal. The referee Mamdouh Al-Mirdasi gave a penalty to Al-Fat'h soon after the break which was converted by Al-Fat'h defender Ahmad Abu Obaid. It seemed to have little effect on the game as Ittihad continued its tight control that almost resulted in several goals. In Jeddah, the first period of Al-Ahli and Al-Raed match was limited to the middle of the field with a few ineffective attacks from both sides, although Al-Raed threatened Al-Ahli's goal more than once as it depended on counter-attacks. Al-Ahli in the second period reached Al-Raed's goal several times but wasted scoring chances, especially by Colombian Josemar. Al-Ahli scored its only goal through Ahmad Darwish who received an accurate pass from striker Malik Muath inside the box. __
