Alinma Bank has signed an agreement with Saudi Computer Company Ltd. (SCC) to design and deploy Alinma's banking information technology (IT) systems utilizing personnel and solutions from industry leader IBM, at a ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh. Speaking at the event, the bank's CEO Abdulmohsen Al-Fares said the agreement would allow Alinma to implement a key part of its strategy, which aims at offering the very best banking products and financial solutions. The project's scope includes installation of IT infrastructure components as well linking Alinma's overall system with various international, financial, IT networks such the SPAN, SARIE, SADAD, and SWIFT systems. It also includes linking the bank with companies and organizations within the Kingdom through the use of business-to-business (B2B) financial transaction technology.The agreement also calls for the creation of a central database that will serve as a principle repository for all bank data. Alinma Bank, which recently completed a successful initial public offering (IPO), seeks to use cutting edge technology to provide robust, comprehensive, quality, Shariah-compliant, financial products, services and solutions to meet customers' needs.
