Several years ago, I took SR100 from a number of my colleagues, after which, I traveled to another place and forgot those colleagues. They have also forgotten me. Now I do not know where they are, so what should I do with the money (I owe them)? A – If the matter is as you have mentioned in your question, which is that you forgot the owners of the SR100 then it is lawful for you to give charity on their behalf. Then if you remembered any of them, you must give him his right, unless he approves your act of giving the money in charity on his behalf. In that case, you will be absolved from blame, and you and the owners will be rewarded. – Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz; Fatawa Islamiyah, vol. 5, pg. 27 Sperm is pure Q- I had sex with my wife, then I got up and made Ghusl and prayed the Fajr prayer. Is it permissible for me to return to sleep on the same mattress on which I had sex with my wife, and cover myself with the same cover? A – Semen is clean, and does not make a person or his mattress impure. Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), said: “I used to rub it (i.e. sperm) from the clothes of the Prophet (peace be upon him), then he would pray in them.” However, this is if the semen is emitted after the person has washed his private parts with water (Istinja) or stones (Isijmar) in accordance with the Islamic law to cleanse himself after urinating. But if it was not so, the semen will not remain pure due to coming into contact with a place which is impure, and thus it will become impure. Based on the fact that sperm is clean, it is permissible for a man to sleep on the mattress and to cover himself with the covering under which he had sex with his wife, and there is no harm in that. – Sheikh Bin Uthaymeen; Fatawa Islamiyah, vol. 2, pg. 87 Note: Ghusl is however obligatory. Living away from wife Q- For how long a man may be absent from his wife when he is on a journey? A – If the husband is absent from his wife for a long period of time, and she does not permit him to do that, then he must return to her as soon as half a year has passed, unless he is excused due to illness or the like. However, if she permits him to stay longer, there is no sin upon him if he delays for the period which she allows him, even if it is long; but in this situation, it is incumbent upon him to fulfill the obligation of paying her expenses. – Sheikh Bin Uthaymeen; Fatawa Islamiyah, vol. 5, pg. 395 Protests Q- Is staging demonstrations for the purpose of solving problems a means of Da'wah? A – Our religion is not a religion of chaos. Our religion is a religion of discipline, and a religion of order, and calm, and tranquility. Demonstrations are not from the actions of Muslims and it is not something Muslims are familiar with. Islam is a religion of mercy and discipline, not of disorder that incites trials (fitan). Rights are earned by asking for them in the manner and ways legislated by the Shariah. Demonstrations cause bloodshed and ruin the wealth (of Muslims). These things are not permissible. – Sheikh Saleh Al-Fowzan; Majmoo Fatawa wa Rasa'il, vol. 2, no. 141, 143, and 146 __
