The General Investigation and Prosecution Authority released on bail a policeman after being held earlier this month in connection with an investigation into the death of two men and a mother and her daughter in a car crash after being allegedly chased by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Madina. The policeman will be summoned to testify at any time the Authority needs him. In another development in the case, two Commission officers held over the four deaths were released from solitary confinement. “The two officers are now 90% innocent as the investigation has revealed,” said Sultan AL-Zahim, lawyer of the two officers. The release of the policeman on bail and the two officers from solitary confinement is the first step towards acquitting them from the charges on which they were initially held. “Now they can receive visitors and contact whoever they want,” he said. - Okaz __
