A Saudi man in the company of his family shot dead a Sudanese resident in the Nafoud desert south of Hail Friday and immediately handed himself in to the authorities. A police spokesman said the 37-year-old Saudi man claimed to have killed his victim for “obstructing” his family while out on a day trip north of the town of Muaqaq, leading to him descending his vehicle and opening fire with a machine gun. The killer then called the authorities and turned himself and his weapon in to the police.
