Six women and five children were among 27 injured when their bus traveling from Jeddah to Jizan overturned in Al-Darb Friday. One passenger said that the vehicle's path was blocked by a car leading the bus driver to take action which caused the bus to overturn several times. “I think most people on board were asleep at the time,” said another passenger. “I woke up to a huge noise and shaking, thinking there had been an earthquake, and I found myself thrown on top of a pile of other passengers covered in glass.” The most severely injured suffered broken bones, but hospital staff said that none of the passengers was in a serious condition.
