Dr. Khalid Obeid Dhafar, Director General of Health Affairs held a meeting at his office here Wednesday with his two assistants for curative and preventive medicine and directors of health affairs in Makkah, Jeddah, Taif and Al-Qunfudha and directors of hospitals in the region in line with the directives of Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Minister of Health, to lay down a health plan for the Ramadan season in view of the swine flu threat. Faig Hussein, Health spokesperson in Makkah Province, said the meeting discussed and studied all the preventive, precautionary and curative means for visitors to the Grand Mosque since their arrival by land, sea or air and confirmed the readiness of the hospitals to deal with any emergency. In addition, they would lay down the necessary plans for this and refer it to the minister of health. Following the meeting, Dr. Dhafar reassured all that the health condition of visitors and Umrah performers in Makkah is excellent and all the curative services are being provided according to the set health plan.
