Investigators looking into the death of a 20-year-old woman who fell from a fairground ride at a Khamis Mushayt amusement park Tuesday say they suspect she may have lost her balance or even lost consciousness during the ride. Officials said the woman, a mother of a one-year-old child, was accompanied by a group on the “Spinning Plate” ride, none of whom were injured. The body of the woman is being held for forensic tests and investigations continue into whether the ride met safety standards. The woman died 12 hours after she was reportedly thrown from the ride leading to head injuries and her admittance to a local hospital. Three children were injured at the same amusement park two years ago.
