Dr. Zuhair Nawab, Chairman of the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS), said the survey has no reservations regarding the return of residents of Al-Eis to their homes, if the authorities concerned see this as appropriate. He said that in its report, the SGS made it clear that residents of Al-Eis may return to buildings that have not been damaged by tremors since periodic reports indicate that the situation in Harrat Al-Shaqqah has become reassuring. “Although it is impossible to say that tremors will not reoccur, we have no reservations to the return of residents to homes that were not damaged by seismic activity,” Nawab said.
