Samuel Eto'o moved to Inter Milan on Monday in a deal that took Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the opposite direction to Barcelona. Eto'o signed a five-year contract with the Italian champion after passing a medical, as Ibrahimovic was being paraded at the Camp Nou stadium in a transfer deal. Belarus midfielder Alex Hleb will also be joining Inter on a one-season loan move. “I made history at Barcelona, but that chapter is over,” said Eto'o, who will be presented as an Inter player on Tuesday. “At Inter, I am starting a new chapter and starting from zero. I am happy with this new adventure and hope everything goes well. I won a lot at Barcelona and now I hope to do so in these colors.” The 28-year-old Eto'o helped Barcelona win the 2006 and 2008 Champions League, scoring in both finals. Ibrahimovic completed his transfer from Inter after signing a five-year contract, Barca said. Ibrahimovic passed a medical earlier in the day, though Barca said the Swede had fractured a bone in his left hand during Inter's recent friendly against Chelsea, and that treatment would be necessary. “It feels like I'm living a dream now,” Ibrahimovic told a news conference. “It was not easy for me in the last weeks.” He said he had always insisted that “only one club can buy me and that is Barcelona ... My will to come to Barcelona was too big for staying in Inter Milan.” “It is a big honor. There are many big clubs but there is only one special club,” he said, adding that he hoped to develop his skills playing with such players as Lionel Messi and Xavi Hernandez. “I come here to bring something new. I'm here to win and I'll do my best to win,” he said. Wearing the “number 9” shirt formerly held by Eto'o, he later received a rapturous welcome before tens of thousands of fans at the Camp Nou stadium. Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has said Ibrahimovic won't be the club's last major signing before the end of the transfer window. And he has warned big-spending rivals Real Madrid that his side won't give up their reign as European and Spanish champions without a fight. Real has spent at least 209 million euros this summer on Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul Albiol and Karim Benzema during the close season. Barcelona beat holder Manchester United to win its third Champions League crown in May in Rome. The club also won the domestic league and cup last season, making them the first Spanish team to win the treble. Crouch joins Spurs Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of Peter Crouch from Portsmouth on Monday after the England striker passed a medical and agreed personal terms, the London club said on their website. The deal reunites Crouch with Harry Redknapp, his former manager at Portsmouth and Southampton, and takes him full circle back to White Hart Lane where he spent two years as a trainee before being released without playing a first-team game. No fee was announced but local media speculated that Spurs had offered around $16.46 million for the 28-year-old former Liverpool forward who turned down a move to Sunderland earlier this month. Crouch's arrival is likely to clear the way for the departure of striker Darren Bent, with Sunderland showing interest if the clubs can agree a fee for the player Spurs bought from Charlton Athletic for 16.5 million two years ago.
