Hasan Bin Ayyash Ahmed Sagheer, a Yemeni national, had his right hand amputated on Friday because he committed theft. A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior said that after being apprehended by security authorities, the Yemeni pleaded guilty to stealing and was convicted of theft by judicial authorities. According to Shariah law, the right hand of the criminal was cut off, the statement said.
