A recent poll conducted by the King Faisal University (KFU) in Dammam and Al-Ahsa campuses among its university students revealed a very disturbing result regarding the influence of university in students' character-building. The university asked some 10,000 of its students the question, “Does the university contributes in changing the wrong behaviors of some students?” The result was that 6,334 students said that the university never changed the wrong behaviors and bad attitudes of some students. Only 1,592 students agreed that university can change the wrong behavior and attitudes of students, while 2,523 other students were not sure whether university education has an impact in changing the wrong attitudes and behavior of students. Meanwhile, the KSU library has been ranked the second best Arab university library by the Routledge publishing house annual assessment. The KSU facility was only bettered by the University of Cairo, topping all other Saudi and Gulf universities.
