year-old student at the International Philippine School in Riyadh was crowned Miss United OFW-Saudi Arabia for 2009 during the grand coronation and awards night Friday at the Liwasang Bonifacio of the Philippine Embassy here. Miss Inshirah Calauto, a fourth year high school student who hails from Pampanga province in the Phililppines, will represent Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the Miss United OFW World Compeitition to be held in Manila in December 2009 . Aside from bagging the main title, Calauto was also named “Best in Evening Gown winner. Proclaimed runner-up winners were Regine Mae Panergo (third runner-up) and 2nd runner up in Miss Talent Award); Raizza Vanessa Tiamson (second runner-up); Sharmaine Calivo (first runner-up and Miss Talent Award), and Angelica Paula Flores(fourth Runner-up and Miss Congeniality Award and first runner up for Miss Talent Award. Other special awardees were Pia Paulican (Miss Photogenic and Miss Talent third runner-up) and Charisse Anne Sumbillo (fifth batch – secnd place winner). The fifth batch non-winning beauties were Raiza Grafilo, Princess Abigael Malate, Christal Gay Garcia, Fritzie Joharra Domingo, Melissa Jane Manansala, Cristal Jane Sacatane, Glenn Kristine Monsalud.and Roeschelle Anne Tiongson The members of panel of judges were Tobbie Cadhit, Elvie Palaris, Elmer Aquino, Jr., and Sara Bello, who was named Miss United OFW 2004. The Search for 2009 Miss United OFW beauty pageant was directed by Richie Civil and the Grand Coronation and Awards Night was emceed by Mark Taneco and Angel Aliasas. Vice-Consul and Third Secretary Paulo V. Saret, representing Ambassador Antonio Villamor who failed to come owing to a previous commitment, was the guest of honor and speaker. Also in attendance were UOFW-IMPC Officials Frank Naval, Eli Mua, Jun Nacion, Francis Oca, Meliz Naval, Doming De Palma, Ding Manalo, Hernan Honrado, Ping Gabriel, Ellen Gabon and Rene Esperanzate. The Grand Coronation and Awards Night marked 6th founding anniversary of the United OFW Organization.
