Twelve days after she went missing off the shores of the Jeddah Corniche, the body of Fatima Al-Saab has been found. Divers located the body Monday morning lodged between rocks 90 meters beneath the sea about a kilometer to the south of the site where she was last seen. A National Guard spokesman said that divers worked for one and a half hours to shift sand and rock and enable the removal of the body. The corpse, reportedly in a state of decomposition and partially buried beneath sand and mud, was taken to King Fahd Hospital for examination and then on to the forensic medicine unit to determine the precise cause of death. The spokesman added that Fatima's father identified the body at the hospital and also visited the search and rescue unit responsible for finding the body of his daughter to thank them for their work over the past 12 days. Fatima's father now expects to take receipt of his daughter's body Tuesday ahead of organizing her funeral.
