Organizers are asking the public to dedicate 67 minutes to an act of service to others, a minute for every year since Mandela took up the struggle for equality in South Africa. In a statement, Mr Mandela said: “We would be honoured if such a day can serve to bring together people around the world to fight poverty and promote peace and reconciliation.” __
