A woman who claims her deceased husband's father is deliberately failing to attend court to deprive her children of their rightful inheritance has taken her case to the Human Rights Commission in Jeddah. The widow claims her father-in-law has for the three years since the death of her husband illegally taken rent earned from her husband's residential property. The woman, who still resides at the premises with her children, said the building and other sites also earning rent were the property of her deceased husband as testified by official documents seen by the court, and that the proceeds should by law go to her children. “I am struggling to provide for my children,” the woman said. “All I want is for the Jeddah court to provide them with their share of the inheritance and force my father-in-law to attend the court hearings.”
