Over 100 workers of different nationalities, including Saudis, donated blood in an annual blood donation campaign launched here by a leading engineering and construction company. The drive was conducted by Rawabi Holding in cooperation with the Ministry of Health Blood Bank in the Eastern Province, the Red Crescent Society, and other medical and social volunteer organizations. “This annual blood donation campaign is being held as part of the social responsibility program of our company,” an official of the Rawabi corporate communications department said. The drive, launched under the campaign banner “Give Blood … Save a Life” is now in its second year. The Rawabi blood donation campaign is held each year to support the needs of local blood banks. “We wanted to send a message, by our example, that corporate organizations and private companies can do much to support those who are in need of blood,” the spokesman of the company said. Officials and members of the Saudi Cancer Foundation and the Eastern Province Diabetes Society participated in the drive, which was also endorsed by local municipal officials and the office of the Emir in the Eastern Province.
