The 52 projects to be launched by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in Yanbu Tuesday include the Yansab project for an annual production of four million tons of ethylene, propylene, ethylene glycol, polyethylene, polypropylene and other materials, as well as the SR5.2 billion Ibn Rushd Arabian Industrial Fiber Company to produce 750,000 tons of polyethylene terephthalate and 158,000 tons of benzene each year. Details of the projects were given Monday by Prince Saud Bin Abdullah Bin Thunaiyan Aal Saud, Chairman of the Royal Commission of Yanbu and Jubail, who said that in addition to education and health plans, the projects would see 20 factories worth over SR7 billion, and 32 industrial works at a value of SR8.4 billion which include SR1.5 billion of residential and commercial projects. The electricity company Marafiq will also be expanded with a capital investment of SR3 billion to raise production to 1,600 mega watts, Projects for the Royal Commission in Yanbu worth SR 2.6 billion are also included in the launchings.
