Four children and their father drowned Thursday at a mountain pond in Wadi Jazm in the region of Thar. The remoteness of the site forced rescue teams, who had been alerted by a call from a mobile telephone that subsequently cut off due to poor reception, to continue their way on foot. The only person found to have survived the incident was the mother of the family.
