Khaled Bin Muhammad Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Education, has said that the Kingdom's universities have been unaffected by the global financial crisis which he said was posing a challenge to higher education bodies around the world. Al-Anqari made the remarks during a UNESCO forum on higher education here where he reiterated the Kingdom's enthusiasm in learning from efforts abroad to harmonize the work of universities with the needs of the labor market. “The Kingdom is also focusing on creating partnerships between Saudi and major international universities,” Al-Anqari said, adding that his ministry was seeking to develop old curriculums into new ones that are in harmony with the aspirations of the leadership and future generations.
