Police in Makkah are investigating a report from an Umrah pilgrim and her husband that her handbag was stolen by a baboon on Mount Noor. The pilgrims were reportedly descending the mountain after completing rituals when the baboon whipped away the bag containing money and a mobile telephone. Efforts to reclaim the property were futile in the face of the agility of the hirsute heister, and the couple decided to inform the police.
