King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has ordered food aid and other forms of assistance be sent to Sri Lanka to help the government face the current humanitarian difficulties in the country as a result of the displacement of tens of thousands of people from their homes. A statement from the Ministry of Finance Tuesday said that two Saudi Arabian Airlines aircraft transporting aid would leave for the Sri Lankan capital Colombo this week.
