Saudi Arabia on Monday urged all countries participating in the Haj to implement the recommendations issued by the swine flu workshop held last week in Jeddah, which include getting the elderly, people with chronic illnesses, children, and pregnant women to postpone their plans for the pilgrimage for their own safety. The Cabinet, chaired by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, said the countries must enlighten the pilgrims about the precautions before their arrival and ensure that they are given the necessary flu vaccinations. Also, they must abide by all the Haj and Umrah health conditions issued by the Saudi Ministry of Health. The Cabinet noted that the workshop had lauded the Saudi national plan for precautionary and preventive measures against the pandemic.
