More than 150 health and nutrition advisers and specialists from hospitals and government agencies in Saudi Arabia recently gathered at the Riyadh Marriott Hotel to evaluate the entire food product line of Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. Participants attended workshops and discussions on the quality of Al Rabie products, starting from the company's juices and including its “Awal Qatfa” Arabic beans. Al Rabie was commended for maintaining high levels of quality that meet both market and health requirements. For its part, Al Rabie committed to continuing its own regular internal product evaluations to ensure quality and safety. “Superior food quality has become a high priority among the Gulf's consumers and is a prerequisite for our corporate motto of ‘Al Rabie Health for All.' We thus employ the latest food processing technologies and techniques and constantly train our personnel to ensure that our products meet and even exceed industry standards. The positive response we received during this forum proves the effectiveness of our quality control programs,” said Monther Al Harthi, general manager, Al Rabie. Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co is a Saudi-based producer of dairy products and juices and the largest juice manufacturer in the Middle East. The company was established in 1980 and has since emerged as a pioneering producer of dairy products, juices and ice cream in the Kingdom. Its core businesses include juices, nectars, still drinks and dairy products. Recently, the Arab Beverages Association (ABA), an alliance of leading Arab beverage companies, has announced that it will be representing the Arab Committee for juices, soft beverage and mineral water within the Arab Federation for Food Industries. “The steady growth of the Middle East's beverage segment has been very encouraging for the industry players. We are in a part of the world where consumers are capable of purchasing high-quality beverages and are adopting healthier drinking habits which are increasing demand for specialized products,” said Al Harthi, who is its chairman.
