year-old Saudi woman in the care of Jeddah's Protection Home has fled her supervisors after being taken to the Ministry of Social Affairs in the Al-Hamra District Sunday. The woman was to be held at the ministry's office until the District Court settled her case in which she sought sanctuary at the Protection Home from an allegedly abusive father. The father of the woman, however, denies the allegations and accuses his daughter of “disobedience” or “Uquoq” in Shariah law.
