The Islamic Education Foundation is organizing first exhibition to showcase the global heritage of Islam aiming to spread awareness among both Muslims and non-Muslims. The 8-day exhibition at Red Sea Mall which began on July 1 displays Islamic heritage from different Muslim countries and artistic works on the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). “The exhibition aims at approaching people shopping in the mall and to make them aware of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and Islamic scientists and social reformers,” said Sawsan Al-Monaie from the Islamic Education Foundation. “We are focusing,” Al-Monaie said “on people from different nationalities to provide them with books and brochures about the heritage of Islam.” “Foreigners have the habit of reading. That's why we want to enlighten them about Islam by distributing free books in different areas of Islam,” said Lamya Shaheen, a member of the Islamic Education Foundation. The exhibition is attracting around 400 visitors daily from different nationalities to learn more about the true meaning of Islam represented by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the heritage of different Muslim countries. Younis Abdurrahman, a visitor from Malaysia, said that the exhibition is very informative. “I wish that next year it will be bigger and with more information about the history of Islamic countries.
