The Customs officials seized more than 14 million drug pills, more than 41 kg of hashish and 4 kilograms of pure heroin inside shoes and intestines of travelers at land, air and sea customs entry points during May and June, 2009. In a statement, the Customs' official spokesman Abdullah Al-Kharboush pointed out that the quantities of the narcotic pills that were seized in two months and the abortion of attempts of smuggling them are considered the largest in the history of Saudi Customs.
