The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz handed over here Friday the Shield of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Sports Excellence to Al-Ahli Club President Abdul Aziz Al-Anqari after Al-Ahli club succeeded in winning four international championships in one season. Al-Ahli team won the Gulf Cup Championships in football, handball and volleyball. It also qualified from Asia for the World Cup Clubs Championship. After the awarding, a royal decree was announced that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prize for Sports Excellence, which would be awarded to the club that achieves four foreign championships, would be SR1 million for every championship. The event was attended by Prince Sultan Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, President, General Presidency of Youth Welfare, Prince Abdullah Bin Faisal Bin Turki Bin Abdul Aziz, Prince Khalid Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, honorary members of Al-Ahli club, former presidents, administrators and players of the club and the employees.
