Female pupils at a school in Khamis Mushayt engaged in a mass confrontation Wednesday when a pupil from another school launched a tirade of abuse at a teacher who questioned her presence on the school grounds. When the teacher's daughter objected, she and the pupil came to blows, leading to a large group of girls jumping into the fray and exacerbating the situation until the appearance of blood led to the school guard being summoned to bring peace. The aggressor managed to flee but she and the school to which she belonged were later identified. The two schools represented in the rivalry are reportedly engaged in bilateral discussions in efforts to find a resolution to the issue.
