The Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) announced on Friday that its networks for seismic monitoring recorded eight new earthquakes in Harat Al-Shaqah measuring between 3.1 and 4.2 on the Richter scale, at a depth between 8.3 and 11.5 km, as well as dozens of weak aftershocks measuring less than 3 on the Richter scale over the previous 24 hours. In a statement issued yesterday, the survey pointed out that rates of changes in terms of thermal measurements, concentrations of radon gas, carbon dioxide, and widening cracks in the ground have been satisfactory.
