After being stranded at sea for two days while tropical storm “Feria” lashed Luzon, at least 18 fishermen were rescued off San Antonio town in Zambales province over the weekend, a radion station reported on Sunday. Bombo Radyo said Philippine Coast Guard men rescued the fishermen, who were stranded after the engine of their fishing boat MA Antonio II conked out, on Saturday. The fishermen said they were on their way back to Subic pier when they encountered big waves generated by typhoon “Feria.” The Coast Guard sent a search-and-rescue team to the area but the initial trip was forced to return because of bad weather. On Saturday, the Coast Guard resumed its search operations and rescueed the fishermen.
