The Ministry of Health announced Thursday that six new cases of swine flu had been registered in the Kingdom.?Five of the new cases were detected in Riyadh, in a 22-year-old Saudi male returning from the US, a Pakistani resident aged 17 arriving from London, a 35-year-old Filipina nurse arriving from the Philippines, and two other Filipina nurses aged 30 and 32 who had had previous contact with infected persons. The sixth case was confirmed in a 29-year-old Filipina housemaid in Taif who had recently arrived from the Philippines. The new instances of the virus bring the total number of confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 68. The Ministry reassured the public that all measures were being taken to prevent the spread of swine flu.
