Ohali, Undersecretary for Educational Affairs in the Ministry of Higher Education, said Friday Saudi universities this year will admit more than 90 percent of high school graduates, or 250,000 students, compared to 203,000 or 88 percent of high school graduates admitted last year. Al-Ohali said the ministry will embark on an expansion project this year. He cited the fact that Dr. Khaled Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Eduaction, signed on Friday the contracts for 55 development projects worth SR40 million to support scientific departments in 11 universities. The signing was at Umm Al-Qura University in the presence of 22 university directors, including Princess Jawhara Bint Fahd, Director of Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University. Other senior education officials were also present at the signing ceremony
