Hyatt Hotels & Resorts this week opened the doors to the Park Hyatt Jeddah - Marina Club and Spa, its first property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Set among landscaped gardens on the Corniche of Jeddah, Park Hyatt is a five-star sanctuary with views of the Red Sea and King Fahd fountain. The hotel is in the center of the city, in the Al Hamra District at the Equestrian Club of Jeddah, some minutes away from the central business district. Business and leisure travelers will be targeted for the meeting and business facilities. The multi-faceted resort is an engineering feat that reclaimed prime waterfront land from the Red Sea, while preserving the surrounding marine life. The property is built on 34.5-acres (140,000 square meters), has 142 guestrooms measuring 430 square feet (40 square meters), including 15 suites which are sized between 860 and 2,100 square feet (80 to 200 square meters). Separately located, the meetings & events Centre features 26,000 square feet (2,500 square meters) of meeting and banquet facilities adjacent to the hotel. On Wednesday, work started on a $272 million five-star Park Hyatt resort in Abu Dhabi's cultural and tourism project.
