The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it is to invite companies to compete in establishing an international network of service centers to process the biometric data of entry visa applicants. Ministry undersecretary Prince Khaled Bin Saud Bin Khalid said that this important initiative is aimed at strengthening the security of the Kingdom in addition to raising the level of services provided to visa applicants. The centers will provide a consistently high quality service at reasonable prices and achieve the quick registration of biometric data on behalf of Saudi embassies and consulates abroad, he added. The service centers will provide visa applications and facilitate the issuance of visas in addition to conducting and registering the biometric data of all visa applicants who desire to visit the Kingdom. The centers will be located in major cities around the world and will be operational effective from 2010.
