Germany's triple Olympic dressage gold medallist Isabell Werth was suspended on Wednesday after her horse Whisper tested positive for the banned sedative fluphenazine on May 30. The German Equestrian Federation said Werth, who won three consecutive Olympic dressage team gold medals, had been suspended by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) pending examination of her B sample. She faces a two-year ban if the second sample is also positive.
