Wednesday sees the beginning of this year's summer camel racing in Taif, organized by the National Festival of Culture and Heritage. The race program for the summer sees five one-day events taking place every fortnight at the Al-Arafa' race track, with competitors from the Kingdom and Gulf nations. Chief festival organizer Sa'ad Bin Mutlaq Abuthnayn said he hoped to see a large crowd made up of residents of the region and summer vacationers from across the Kingdom attend the races and “enjoy this sport of our forefathers.”
