Saudi Arabia's General Investment Authority (SAGIA) honored the National Commercial Bank for sponsoring the recent Global Competitiveness Forum held in Riyadh. The honoring ceremony took place during a reception SAGIA organized recently for the sponsors of the forum. There, Mahmoud Al-Turkistani, vice-president and head of the Corporate Social Responsibility department at NCB received an honorary plaque from Amr Dabbagh, Governor of SAGIA, in recognition of the bank's contribution. Al-Turkistani said NCB sponsors such events as a strategic partner in bringing initiatives that contribute positively to the notion of healthy competitiveness. He further explained that NCB takes every care of initiatives with the potential of stimulating partnership among leaders of public and private sectors in order to promote a healthy environment for investments in the Kingdom, an objective best summarized in the 10x10 goal to rank amongst the top 10 countries in the world in terms of investment environment competitiveness by the end of 2010. “The sponsorship of the forum talks of the bank's strong belief in the principles of responsible competitiveness, innovation, partnership and entrepreneurship. These principles are what the world needs most today to face off the rising challenges. They are most needed in Saudi Arabia specifically to achieve the objectives of total development and economic diversification,” Al
