Sharp-eyed police at a checkpoint in Al-Aridha stopped a vehicle carrying a man and a woman which upon inspection was harboring 200 bunches of qat. When verifying the identities of the passengers of the vehicle, it was discovered that the woman under the veil and abaya was in fact a man. Police say smugglers frequently dress as women or use women passengers to deter officers from making rigorous inspections of vehicles.
