The Saudia City Tennis Club 2008 season, dubbed as Edwin Morta's Farewell Cup, ended in an all exciting final showdown at the Saudia City NC-6 tennis courts. In the ladies event, Rhoda Romerosa and Nelia Morta claimed the C-Category title against the pair of Flor Dumalaon and Glessy Panganiban, while Rochelle Rodrigo and Alta Coats snatched the C & B2/B1 Mixed Category at 10-7 against Sheila Harris and Dodie Villanueva. Meanwhile in the Men's C1 Category, the duo of Ernani Labindao and Lito Alimurong held back break points in the crucial moments and humbled the more determined Frank Sabio and Danny Ong 10-6. In the men's C Category, Froilan Lim an Edwin Morta struggled early but gained the upper hand, employing an all around game to capture the championship crown against the pair of Digo Boringot and Mark Panganiban in a close 10-8 victory. In men's B2 Category, the pair of Ronnie Santos and Rowell Cuasay proved to be perfect as they notched an impressive win against Ely Mateo and Albert Ramirez, who missed chances of early breaks and lost 10-7. Nemie Melencio and Nilo Supelana continued their domination of the higher B1 & B/B+ Category as they clipped the duo of Boy Urquia and Alex Stawicki in a hard-fought 10-8 win. The SCTC 2008 new set of officers include chairman Erp Casilac, vice chairman Froi Malapad, secretary Froilan Lim, treasurer Alta Coats, asistant treasurers Malou Sabio and May Borje, auditor Rowell Cuasay, business Manager Richard Harris and PRO Benny Espina.
