year-old girl who has been rejected by both sets of remarried parents and her maternal and paternal grandparents awaits the decision of her local police station to decide her fate. The teenager had been living with her maternal grandfather until last Thursday, when he called the police for help in expelling her from his home, despite the protestations of his wife. The grandfather claimed he was acting reluctantly, but the girl herself said she only asked him to “take care of her and provide her with her living needs and school needs.” The girl had previously been thrown out by her remarried mother and reported her and her husband to the police for burning her. According to the girl, her paternal grandfather and her father and his new wife also refused to take her in. Fatima Dawoud of the Social Protection Team in Madina and the Social Protection Committee said the case was now with the Al-Khaldiyah Police Station. The committee is to request that the girl be examined in hospital and a full study of the case conducted, Dawoud said.
