Pakistani Prime Minster Yousuf Raza Gilani met here on Wednesday evening with Saudi ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Asiri, whose term of office ended after nine years of service as Saudi ambassador to Pakistan. During the meeting, the Pakistani premier sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, expressing his government's gratitude to the King for his feelings towards Pakistan. Gilani stressed that relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia stem from common faith, values, culture and identical visions about most regional and international issues. He commended the efforts exerted by Ambassador Asiri during his work in Pakistan in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. For his part, Ambassador Asiri thanked the premier for the Pakistani government's facilitation of his mission in Pakistan.
