A photograph taken at a bride's wedding reception almost led to a swift divorce before family members stepped in to quell the groom's anger in Al-Ahsa earlier this week. The groom's discontent resulted from a mix-up at a photograph printing shop when he was handed the pictures from the female reception by mistake, despite having been assured that the woman photographer hired for the task would develop the photographs in her own private developing room. The newly-wed returned home to confront his wife and told her to pack her things and go back to her family's house in preparation for divorce. Family members intervened to explain that it was all the fault of the woman photographer who had not acted as she claimed she would, and the husband retracted his threat of divorce. The couple's honeymoon plans, however, have been cancelled.
