Police have arrested a male of Arab nationality in Mahd Al-Dhahab for the theft of solar panels from communications towers in the Madina region. Numerous reports had been received of the theft of panels from mobile telephone towers, prompting police to set up a surveillance operation which led to the arrest of the man, who was found to be in the possession of stolen panels worth more than SR400,000.
