Ahmed hits explosive ton in Jotun League

Jaweed Ahmed of Zinda Tilismath hit a quickfire 135 off 40 balls with 11 sixes and 14 fours in the 1st week matches of the Jotun Paints League sponsored by Jotun Saudi Arabia and organized by JCA.
Along with Amir Sajjad Ahmed put on 170 for the first wicket with Amir making an unbeaten 67 off 33 balls (6 four's and 3 sixes) which enabled Zinda Tilismath beat Ace Travel by 8 wickets.
In the second match, Natco beat Pure Food by a huge margin of 167 runs as Imran (84 in 40 balls) and experienced skipper Humayun (64 off 37 balls) went on a scoring spree.
In the third match Ravi beat I-Cats by 71 runs as Sherullah played a match-winning knock of 49 runs. In the fourth game, Jet Airways defeated ALJ by 87 runs. Its opener Afroz hit 71 off 34 balls and Shahid made 57 off 28 balls.
Premier Division which is sponsored by Jotun Paints has 9 teams which are ALJ, Ravi Cricketers, I-Cats, Ace Travel, Pak Young, Zinda Tilismath, Jet Airways, Pure Food and Natco. The matches of 20 overs a side are played in the afternoon. The highlights of this league was the inauguration done by former Test cricketer from Pakistan, Saeed Anwar, formally inaugurated the JCA Complex along with sponsors Jotun Paints officials Dilip Tambe, Faisal Karim and Muzakkir Bukhari.

Ace Travel 224-5 in 18 overs (Tariq Jamal 78, Shahzad 48 n.o., Nabil Muzaffar Hussain 36, Waleed 25, Sadathullah 2 wickets, Ghulam Fareed, Asif 1 wicket each). Zinda Tilismath 227-2 in 17.1 overs (Jaweed Ahmed 135, Amir Sajjad 67 n.o., Shahzad, Atta 1wicket each).
Ravi beat I-Cat by 71 runs . Ravi 177-7 in 18 overs (Sherullah 49, Shamsheer 24, Usman 19, Shoeb 2 wickets, Arif Hashmi, Shahroz Pervez and Afroz 1 wicket each). I-Cats 108 (Inayath 46, Kashan 4-17, Shamsheer 2-30, Shabbir 1).
Natco beat Pure Food by 167 runs. Natco 249-2 in 18 overs (Imran 84, Humayun Farooq 64, Jawad 39, Ali 28, Rushdi, Yasir 1 wicket each). Pure Foods 82-8 in 18 overs (Syed Massarat Khalil 18, Idrees 18, Ashiq 3 wickets, Kashif, Rashid 1 wicket each).
Jet Airways beat ALJ by 87 runs. Jet Airways 211-5 in 18 overs (Afroz 71, Shahid 57, Rayeesuddin 28 n.o., Vijay 2 wickets, Faisal, Tanvir 1 wicket each). ALJ 124 (Adil 49, Faisal 23, Asghar 3-14, Shameem, Farooq, Shahid 2 wickets each, Afroz 1 wicket).
Earlier, Jotun Paints signed an agreement to sponsor the first JCA tournament in its office in Jeddah. Those present during the occasion from Jotun were Gunnar Thoresen (Managing Director), Dilip Tambe (Sales Manager), Faisal Karim (Asst. Marketing Manager) and Muzakkir Bukhari (Key Accounts Manager) and from JCA were Aijaz Toor and A. A. Merchant.
The teams which are taking part in the JCA first division which is sponsored by Otex are ICC, KAIA, Saliheen, Saudia City, Al-Saudi XI, Kanoo, Micro Engineering Works, Usfan Young Stars XI, IDB and Star XI.
In the first week matches ICC beat KAIA by 23 runs, Saudia City won against Saliheen by 22 runs and Usfan Young Stars XI romped home against Micro Engineering by 7 wickets. __
