THE Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has increased the quota of slaughtered sacrificial goats sent to the stranded Pakistanis living in Bangladesh to 10,000, as approved by IDB President Dr Ahmed Mohammad Ali. The Pakistan Repatriation Council (PRC) in a meeting last week thanked the President for the move. Upon the PRC's request, the IDB started in 1999 sending 3,000 slaughtered goats for the stranded Pakistanis which were increased to 5,000 in 2002. The meat is distributed in Bangladesh with the help of Muslim World League and the Bangladesh Ministry in coordination with the SPGRC. The meeting was presided by renowned Poet Naseem Sehar, PRC chief coordinator, who is on a visit to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan.
